Now Accepting Alabama Communications Contest Entries

Alabama writing editing photography contest

AMP Contest Director Meredith Cummings has announced earlier dates for entering our 2018 Alabama-level Communications Contest. The AMP Communications Contest is for communications/media professionals in Alabama, with winners eligible to compete in the National Federation of Press Women national contest (if they are NFPW members). In 2018, the NFPW conference (where national winners are announced) moves to June, and so contest deadlines will change accordingly. AMP winners will still be honored at the Spring Awards Banquet.

Past winners have commented that the feedback they get from the judges help them improve their skills, and they can use the positive comments from judges, in addition to the awards, in promoting their services to prospective clients. We also send out a press with the winners' names and awards.

Our News page on this website has announcements of AMP members who won in both the state and national level. The NFPW website also has Winners Showcase section.

You do not have to be an AMP member to participate. But to receive the award, you must become an AMP member. Contest submissions are handled electronically, with exceptions for a few categories, such as books.
