Know How To Create Infographics.

 

Ramsey Archibald is a data journalist for Alabama Media Group, AL.com and the Birmingham News. A native of Birmingham, he graduated from UAB with an undergrad in communications, and from the University of Alabama with a master’s degree in community journalism. His work includes traditional data reporting, data visualization and video.

Tina Tidmore, now a freelance communications specialist, has over 3 decades experience in professions that require skills in merchandising, advertising, writing, graphic design, and marketing strategy. She's won state and national awards, mostly in website design. Operating and catering her services to small businesses have revealed common mistakes made by these entrepreneurs. In this presentation, she shares 9 of them.

Justin Yurkanin, AL.com and Joseph DeSciose, Joseph DeScoise Photography

Session 3A – Fantastic Point of View: Shooting And Framing Pictures
And Videos For Digital Content.

 

Joseph De Sciose has been a professional photographer for more than 25 years. His expertise includes photography in horticulture, travel, features, portraits and commercial imagery. He was a senior photographer at Southern Living magazine for more than five years and was the principal photographer for three books. Joe frequently photographs for local publications and companies.

 

 

Justin Yurkanin is the Director of Production for Red Clay Media, where he was instrumental is developing the company’s slate of social media brands, including the south’s most popular comedy brand, It’s a Southern Thing. Yurkanin has 16 years experience as a photojournalist, videographer, producer and editor, and won an Emmy Award for his investigative journalism about unjustified police shootings in Las Vegas. He is a graduate of Syracuse University.

Session 3B – Make A Wish: I have a Great Entrepreneurial Idea. How Do I Fund It?

 

Bob Dickerson has spent his career finding ways to get money into the hands of people. For years, he did it as a commercial and consumer lending officer while working at several large financial institutions. Today, he does it as the Executive Director of the Birmingham Business Resource Center and Chief Executive Officer of Foundation Capital, a Small Business Administration Certified Development Company.
