Peggy Gargis' career was bookended by her first love: print news. After a brief stint at her hometown newspaper, Gargis spent two decades in medical editing and technical writing. From 2003-2012, as a stringer for Reuters (Thomson Reuters), she covered corporate and political corruption trials, church arsons, and natural disasters, among other Alabama news.
