Susan Reynolds

Susan Reynolds is the editor of Alabama Heritage magazine. She earned a PhD in English at the University of Alabama and has a master's in library science. Her dissertation is titled Oliver All Over Again: Dickensian Narratives of Orphanhood in the Victorian Novel, and she has published articles and book chapters on Augusta Evans Wilson, the Harry Potter series, and William Augustus Bowles . Prior to working at Alabama Heritage, she was employed by Southern Living magazine and taught courses in the University of Alabama English department. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, and listening to true crime podcasts.
