The 2019 AMP Communications Contest and the National Federation of Press Women Professional Contest are now open for submissions. This year's contest has several new categories, including Novella, Personal Essay, and E-letters, along with an updated entry system to make submitting your entry easier.
The AMP Communications Contest is for communications/media professionals in Alabama, with winners eligible to compete in the National Federation of Press Women national contest (if they are or become NFPW members). AMP winners will still be honored at the Spring Awards Banquet.
You do not have to be an AMP member to participate, and it is open to all genders. Contest submissions are handled electronically through NFPW's website, with exceptions for a few categories, such as books.
Past winners have commented that the feedback they get from the judges helps them improve their skills, and they can use the positive comments from judges, in addition to the awards, in promoting their services to prospective clients. We also send out a press release with the winners' names and awards.
