Mary Wimberley

Based in the Birmingham area.
Longtime Alabama Media Professionals and National Federation of Press Women member Mary Wimberley retired in 2016 after 42-plus years on the communications staff at Samford University. During her career, most recently as senior news and feature writer, she covered stories for the university website and for distribution to external media. Wimberley served as a media relations liaison to local and national print and broadcast outlets and was associate editor of Seasons, the Samford alumni magazine.
